Off-Duty time is often a
forgotten aspect of the Law Enforcement Officer.
Many Officers allow the stress of the job to have a negative
impact on their personal lives. Divorce rates are
alarmingly high within Law Enforcement because of the shift
work and stress.
Off-duty time is severely important
because it reduces stress by allowing us to interact with our
loved ones and to perform hobbies and activities that make us
happy. Every Officer should make a concentrated effort
to spend quality time with family and to engage in hobbies
outside the realm of Police Work.
